What is Concierge Therapy?
This is physical therapy that works with your busy lifestyle. We treat you in your home, office, or gym. Treatment is based off of your specific needs and treating the root cause of your mobility limitation. Sessions are focused on myofascial release, manual therapy techniques, contract relax stretching, and strengthening exercises to improve posture and joint alignment to ensure correction of the underlying impairment.
Fascia is a connective tissue that helps support and stabilize our joints, muscles, internal organs, nerves and vessels. It is an intricate web that is vital to movement and stability for the musculoskeletal system. In traditional therapy assessments and treatments ...This system is typically overlooked and not addressed.
When we have an injury, the body automatically compensates by tightening the connective tissues and muscles that stabilize our joints. Many times when healing from these injuries, movement compensations and joint restrictions occur. This can be due to adhesions and lack of fascial mobility.
Imagine a rubber band with a knot in the middle...
Will this rubber band be able to fully stretch if the knot is present? Obviously, no. Now imagine that rubber band is your muscle with a fascial restriction. The same issue occurs and the more we try to manually stretch the muscle without correcting or removing the restriction the tighter we make the knot.
VIP Therapy's cornerstone of care specifically targets these restrictions. Dr. Barney will manually remove them through a non-painful approach, using specialized treatment tools.
Decreases the inflammatory response
Improves joint mobility
Biomechanics analysis takes a look at how you move. Is your body positioned wrong when you do things, thereby causing you stress or pain? We assess how you go about the business of living your life. And we are always reassessing how far you have come between treatments. We bring the treatment tools with us to every in-home visit.
Whether you're stressed in the office, recovering from an injury or are straight out of surgery, Dr. Brea will design an exercise program targeting specific muscle groups to either meet your personal goals or counterbalance the kinds that come from your daily life.
Our hands are licensed and unmatched by others. We use targeted myofascial release, manual therapy and stretching along with pulsed electromagnetic field therapy to help alleviate that pain.
You and Dr. Brea will plan on how to modify or correct everyday activities to make sure you stay biomechanically friendly, integrating everything we have taught you. This will ensure long-term results. After all, isn't that what it's all about?

Elite care is the VIP way
VIP therapy, LLC is a private pay provider which means we work for you and not the insurance company. This allows us to provide one-on-one, individualized care with the same doctor of physical therapy at each session. By being hands-on during every treatment you can expect less visits and quicker outcomes than traditional therapy.
Evaluation: 60 minutes
The initial evaluation is a full body movement analysis using evidenced based protocols. This allows Dr. Brea to get an in depth view of what is causing pain and range of motion limitations. Dr. Brea will create a mobility program and determine the amount of visits needed that is specific to you. She also uses this time to screen for any signs or symptoms of underlying health issues such as cancer, neurological disorders or other immediate needs. PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field) is also used throughout the session with no additional cost as long as no contra indications to use are present. (safety concerns) After this is completed a hands on treatment will finish up the session. Dr. Brea will provide a daily to do list and mobility handout to help manage pain and keep you on track until your next treatment session. An initial assessment is mandatory before beginning any additional treatments or wellness visits.
Follow-up treatment: 60 minutes
Each treatment session will vary based off of your individual needs. For some dealing with long standing mobility or pain limitations much of the session will be focused on manual therapy, myofascial release and PEMF. Depending on pain and mobility progression new exercises will be provided to you at each treatment to be utilized between each session. This ensures that the restrictions that have been manually removed will remain this way and new stability can be provided to the joint that had been limited, thus improving pain and movement.
